What Happened in 2010

Thanks for coming to the 2010 Show What Ya Brung Car Show.  Hope you had a great time, too!
Eureka residents and visitors enjoyed a very successful Eureka Car Show on Friday evening May 14, 2010 and Saturday May 15.  Activities began with a Main Street “Cruise-in” Friday evening. DJ Bill Micheli provided music and entertainment Friday evening and all day Saturday.  Saturday morning, the Eureka Lion’s Club started the festivities with an excellent pancake breakfast at the new Eureka Fire House.  The car show and the concurrent Highway 50 yard sale displayed along both sides of the main street of historic downtown Eureka.  The FFA washed cars.  Mother Nature again supplied perfect weather.

Eighty-seven vehicles were entered in the show, representing Nevada well, including the towns of Eureka, Ely, Elko, Wells, Winnemucca, Round Mountain, Spring Creek, and Lamoille.  Most distance driven was an entry from Taylorsville, Utah at 347 miles.  Cash prizes & trophies were awarded.  Eureka B & B; Rogue Expressions; Main Street Gift & Garden; DJ's Diner; Eureka Gallery; EZ Stop; C&B Auto Parts, Ely; Bath Lumber, Ely; T-Shar Enterprises; Raine's Market; ECEDP; Eureka Supply; Eureka Bed & Breakfast; and Main St. Gift & Garden donated raffle prizes.  Sponsors include Eureka County Recreation Board, Newmont Mining, Eureka Moly, LLC, Barrick Gold, Nevada State Bank, and Norcross Service Stations/Lyle's Propane Ely.  Supporters include DJ's Diner and the Eureka Best Western Motel.

Well-received additions to this year’s show were the free bounce castle and mini-train ride for kids that ran during the day and the old west gunfighters’ exhibition at high noon.

Best of Show won $500 cash and a trophy, all best of class won $200 cash and a trophy, Second place for each class won $100 cash and a trophy and third place in each class won a trophy.
